TAIYUAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

Founded in 1987, the Taiyuan University of Technology Men’s Basketball Team has long been a dominant force in the CUBAL league, particularly in the Northwest region. Since the league’s launch in 1998, TYUT has earned the nickname “Kings of the Northwest” with 18 regional titles and 24 national Top 8 finishes. They won national championships in 2010 and 2012, and most recently finished as national runner-up in 2024. With their consistent excellence and deep legacy, TYUT remains one of CUBAL’s most respected programs. Notable historic players include Wei Mingliang, Wang Hong, and Wang Siqi.
