GAME RECAP

Xiong Junjie (熊俊杰) made two free throws with 10 seconds left and Peking University survived a game in which they led for less than three minutes, beating Yonsei 83-82 on Tuesday night to sweep Group C and finish the group stage unbeaten.

Yonsei led 78-69 with 3:41 to play on a Lee Hae Sol (이해솔) layup and did not make another field goal the rest of the night. Li Dongqi (李东奇) had 6 points in the 10-0 PKU run that followed, a tip-in and two layups, and Xiong Junjie supplied the rest from the line. Xiong's second set of free throws put Peking University ahead 79-78 with 1:14 remaining.

Neither team made a field goal after that. The teams traded free throws for the remaining minute until Jang Hyeok Jun (장혁준) stole a Li Dongqi pass, drew a foul and sank two from the line with 15 seconds left to put Yonsei up 82-81. Xiong Junjie, who had two points in the first three quarters, was fouled five seconds later and made both, his seventh and eighth of the quarter from the line.

Yonsei led at the end of each of the first three quarters, and Peking University did not lead at all between the 1:48 mark of the 2nd and the 1:14 mark of the 4th. Li Dongqi's 3-pointer tied it 15-15 late in the first before Yonsei closed the quarter 11-2, and Peking University opened the second with an 11-2 run of their own to level it at 28-28. Muheyati's 3-pointer at 3:09 gave Peking University a 35-33 lead, their only one of the half.

Lee Chae Hyung (이채형) put Yonsei up 43-37 early in the third with a 3-pointer and Yonsei led by eight on three occasions, but Peking University scored nine of the last 11 points of the quarter to get within 63-62. Wang Zhipeng had 11 in the quarter.

Lee Chae Hyung finished with 12 points, 10 assists and six steals, tying the AUBL single-game steals record. Gu Seung Chae scored 17 and Lee Hae Sol 16.
