NCCU Crowned Champions, Tsinghua Finish Runners-Up, Sung Hsin-Hao Named Finals MVP

August 24 — The inaugural Asian University Basketball League (AUBL) concluded with National Chengchi University (NCCU) edging Tsinghua University 82–79 in a thrilling championship game. NCCU finished the tournament a perfect 5–0 to capture the first-ever AUBL title, while Tsinghua closed out with a 4–1 record as runners-up. Hakuoh University claimed third place at 3–2, and Etugen University finished fourth.
In the final, Sung Hsin-Hao delivered a monster performance of 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists to carry NCCU to victory. His heroics earned him the Finals MVP award, and he also headlined the All-Tournament First Team selections. Tsinghua standouts Shi Kui and Xi Taicheng were also named to the First Team, alongside Konkuk’s Kim Jun-Young and Hakuoh’s Joel Monga Banza.
