Korea University led for 37 of the 40 minutes and by as many as 13, but the 4th quarter alone had 7 of the game's 11 lead changes. Hakuoh won the bench battle 33-19 and attempted 23 free throws to Korea University's 9.

GAME RECAP

Korea University controlled the game early in their first-ever AUBL appearance. Lee Do Yun (이도윤) scored 6 in the first quarter, Shim Ju Eon (심주언) had 11 by halftime, and a 45-40 lead at the break grew to 13 in the third quarter.

Hakuoh made it a game in the 4th. Eijiro Ogawa (小川瑛次郎) hit three of his five threes in the 4th on his way to a game-high 22, Okakpu Chinedu (オカプチネドゥ) finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks in just 18 minutes, and Hakuoh briefly took the lead in a quarter with 7 lead changes.

Korea University retook control down the stretch. Shim Ju Eon and Kim Jeong Hyun Daniel (김정현다니엘) answered from deep — Daniel finished with 4 3's off the bench — and Seok Jun Hwi (석준휘) ran the offense to the finish with 9 assists.

Alim Sakai (境アリーム) had 11 points and 11 rebounds for Hakuoh, going 7-of-8 from the line.

LOOKING AHEAD

Hakuoh, last year's third-place team, are back tomorrow at 11:30 HKT to face the University of the Philippines and need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Korea University play UP on Monday, where a win locks up their spot in the playoffs.
