August 22 — In the second quarterfinal of the inaugural Asian University Basketball League (AUBL), Peking University faced Hakuoh University. Peking University lost two key starters, Wang Haolin and Wang Zhipeng, to injury, with Wang Zhipeng exiting the game less than nine minutes in. Peking University then suffered a 14-0 run in the second quarter and trailed 29–41 at halftime. The deficit widened to over 20 points in the second half, and they ultimately fell 71–91 to Hakuoh University. With the win, Hakuoh University advances to the semifinals, where they will meet the winner between Tsinghua University and Konkuk University.

• First Quarter: Eijiro Ogawa hit the opening three, but Angsaer Muheyati and Wang Zhipeng each scored 4 points in an 8–0 run to give PKU the lead. Hakuoh responded with a 7–0 run.
