A Look Back at the Inaugural AUBL Tournament

The inaugural 2025 Asian University Basketball League tournament, held in August, was a resounding success, with more than 29,000 fans attending games in Hangzhou and attracting a noteworthy 65 million live page views.

NCCU defeated Tsinghua University 82-79 in the championship match.

The competition also showcased the AUBL's potential for greater popularity in the future.

For Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai, one of the AUBL's key investors, attending the 2025 tournament was an eye-opening experience.

"Attending last year's AUBL Finals in person and witnessing first-hand the energy in the arena, the passion of the fans, and the level of play on the court further reinforced my belief that the league is headed in the right direction," Tsai said.

And once again, that excitement and high-level competition will be on display from August 2-9 in Hangzhou, China.
