GAME RECAP

NCCU continue their AUBL undefeated streak into AUBL26, beating NUM 83-51 and taking the top seed in Group D. The champions went 5-0 through last season on their way to the title and have not lost a game in the competition since it began.

Five of NCCU's 7 blocks came in the 1st quarter, and they led 22-11 by the end of it. NUM answered with their best basketball of the afternoon in the 2nd, losing the quarter by a single point to trail 36-24 at the break.

NCCU opened the 3rd with 14 unanswered points and led by 28 by the end of the quarter.

Boubacar Mboup (波波卡), who set the AUBL single-game rebounding record of 19 last season, finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes. Lin Tzu Hao (林子皓) matched him for points on 6-of-10 shooting and added 3 steals.

Lin En Yu (林恩宇) followed his 5-steal game against SJTU last nightwith 5 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks in 18 minutes.

Tuguldur Batmunkh led NUM with 13 and Gurtsog Aldarnyam scored 11 in Mongolia's last Group Stage game of the tournament. NUM took 34 3-pointers and made 7, finishing at 26.4% from the field, the lowest any team has shot in a game at AUBL26 so far. Buyan-Arvijikh Purevkhishig finished with 3 blocks, matching the AUBL single game blocks record.

LOOKING AHEAD

NCCU win Group D at 2-0 and SJTU go through second at 1-1, both into the AUBL26 quarterfinals. NUM, in their first AUBL appearance, finish 0-2 and head to the placement games.

NCCU will face the runner-up from Group C and SJTU will take the winner. Yonsei and Peking University settle that at 19:30 HKT tonight in the last game of the group stage.
